Basic methods of influencing the aluminum alloys structures
Janský, Vojtěch ; Kaňa, Václav (referee) ; Blažík, Petr (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to deal with common ways influencing of structure of aluminium alloys. Thesis deals with speed of cooling, inoculation and modification. The experimental part compares photos of samples of different castings and influece of already mentioned ways of influencing of structure during solidification.
Methods of primary influencing steel and steel ingot structures
Stejskal, Marek ; Záděra, Antonín (referee) ; Blažík, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the ways of influencing metal structure during it’s solidification in the mold that leads to changes in mechanical properties. In the first part there is explained the principle of metal crystalization, it’s types and mechanisms, there is also described the issue of metal solidification in the mold. In the second part of the thesis there is a general view of methods being used for primal influencing of steel structure. The principles and ways of use for these methods in foundry industry are explained.
Influence of modification and inoculation on structure and mechanical properties of aluminium alloys
Janošťák, Jan ; Lána, Ivo (referee) ; Roučka, Jaromír (advisor)
This thesis examines the influence of inoculation and modification on the internal structure and properties of aluminium-silicon alloys. The effect of inoculation by titanium and boron and modification by sodium and strontium is investigated in experimental part of the thesis. All these metallurgical interventions in the melt are tested on three types of hypoeutectic Al-Si alloys (AlSi10Mg(a), AlSi8Cu3, AlSi7Mg0,3). The experiment was carried out in cooperation with the foundry of non-ferrous metals, Aluminium Group, a.s. in Sloup.
